Mazda Safety Features That Help on Halloween Night
When the sun goes down on October 31, neighborhood streets get busy. Children may step out between parked cars, and drivers need to pay extra attention to their surroundings.
Mazda was named the Safest New-Car Brand by Consumer Reports in 2026. The brand's i-ACTIVSENSE® safety technology is designed to help drivers recognize potential hazards and respond when it matters most.
Here are some key safety features available across Mazda models, including the Mazda CX-5, CX-50, CX-70, and CX-90:
Smart Brake Support (Forward): Can alert the driver to objects or pedestrians ahead and automatically apply emergency braking if a potential collision is predicted.
Smart Brake Support (Reverse): Can detect certain objects or pedestrians behind the vehicle and apply emergency braking when necessary.
Blind Spot Monitoring: Helps detect vehicles in your blind spots and provides visual or audible alerts.
Rear Cross Traffic Alert: Warns you of approaching vehicles when backing out of a driveway or parking space.
Lane Departure Warning System: Provides alerts when the vehicle unintentionally drifts from its lane.
Lane-Keep Assist: Can provide momentary steering assistance to help keep the vehicle in its lane.
Driver Attention Alert: Monitors driving patterns and can suggest taking a break if it detects signs of fatigue or inattentiveness.
Adaptive Front-Lighting System: Adjusts the direction of the headlights as you steer to improve visibility around curves.
High Beam Control: Automatically switches between high and low beams based on surrounding traffic and lighting conditions.
360° View Monitor: Uses multiple cameras to help drivers check their surroundings when parking or maneuvering at low speeds.
These features are especially helpful when navigating busy neighborhoods, dark roads, and crowded parking areas.
